About our Medical Interpreters
Interpreters undergo language proficiency screening and training in interpretation techniques, ethics and medical vocabulary.
Interpreters are currently preparing for national certification.
Before visits begin, interpreters explain the process to both patients and providers:
- Provider speaks directly to patient
- Provider speaks in short segments
- Provider pauses to allow for interpretation
- Interpreter sits/stands beside the patient
If you are a provider currently enrolled in our system, visit the online Interpreter Services Department Language Center to schedule your interpreter requests as well as check availability and order status.

Translations cost: $10/page.
You can stop by the clinic and bring the documents to be translated to the Language Services Department or email them to firstname.lastname@example.org – please include your name and phone number. We will return an email to you telling you when these will be ready for pickup.
Training for medical providers on use of interpreters
