Dr. Meredith Josephs
Dr. Meredith Josephs has dedicated the past fifteen years to improving the quality of health services in DC’s Latino community. Dr. Josephs received her BSE in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University. She went on to get her Master’s in Bioengineering from the University of California and her MD from the University of Maryland, School of Medicine. Dr. Josephs completed her Family Practice residency training at Franklin Square Hospital in Baltimore. She also received a Master's in Public Health from the George Washington University, with an emphasis in Community Oriented Primary Care. She is a Fellow with the American Board of Family Medicine. She holds faculty appointments at both Howard University and George Washington University. She is a member of the DC chapter of the American Academy of Family Physicians and is fluent in English and Spanish.
Dr. Josephs joined the staff of La Clínica del Pueblo after completing residency in 1998. In 2000 she became La Clínica’s Chief Medical Officer. In 2012, Dr. Josephs stepped down as CMO, but has maintained her clinical practice. Her practice includes pediatric, adult, and geriatric care. She has a particular interest in HIV, Women’s Health, and chronic disease management.
