Interpreter’s Department Volunteers

Work with our Interpreter Services Manager and assist with various recordkeeping and administrative tasks; assist with a large-scale project of converting documents into digital files. This opportunity will allow us to improve our services in order to be able to provide language access to all in the District.


Medical & Patient services

Volunteer opportunities in medical and patient services include receptionist support, data-entry, referrals, scheduling appointments, patient follow-ups, and other general and administrative tasks and duties as assigned.


  • Availability during clinic hours: Monday-Friday 8:30 am-5:30 pm
  • Interest or background in healthcare
  • Bilingual (Spanish-English) speakers preferred

To be a volunteer interpreter you must have:

  • Fluency in English and at least another language (you will be asked to provide proof of proficiency through tests.)
  • Training as a medical interpreter.
  • Experience working with underserved communities.

Administrative Support

Help staff with clerical duties such as filing, scanning and other special projects. This is a great opportunity to gain exposure in the fields of HR, finance, interpreting and other departments at La Clínica. 

Collaborate with La Clínica

Volunteers with an expertise in a special area can train or collaborate with staff and help La Clínica continue to serve members of the Latino community. These experts could lend their expertise in topics such as health and outreach, mental health, program evaluation, advocacy, fundraising, and social media.


Support our programs and services by planning your own fundraiser. Fun examples include a profit share at a local business, walk-a-thons, hosting a happy-hour, etc., get creative!

Share your Skills

Have a special skill you would like to share with us? From time to time we need volunteers with an expertise in areas such as photography, videography, or graphic design. Volunteers are also welcome to host a demonstration or class for staff and/or patients in topics such as healthy eating, exercising, personal finance, yoga, dance, etc.,

Special Events

We need volunteers for events throughout the year including health fairs, fundraisers, and our annual Posada.
