Working with a holistic approach to health care, La Clínica understands that mental health is a vital component to healthy living. Staff works to de-stigmatize therapeutic care in the eyes of La Clínica's patients and the broader Latino immigrant community.
For La Clínica’s patients, the trauma of the immigration experience and the stress of making ends meet in challenging economic times can produce tremendous pressure on families in the Latino community.
Responding to our community’s needs, we provide:
- Individual, couple, and family counseling services for a broad range of psychological problems
- Psycho-educational support groups, through our program Mi Familia
- Comprehensive outpatient substance abuse treatment services are available in our program Volviendo a Vivir, including support groups and referrals to detoxification and residential programs
- Mental health services at our school-based program for youth at Northwestern High School, through our program Mi Refugio
