In 2019, despite the many challenges our patients face, La Clínica achieved excellent clinical outcomes and was recognized through a great span of esteemed awards for its leadership, provision of services, and work towards building a healthier community for all.

NCQA’s Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) Recognition

This program is the most widely adopted PCMH evaluation program in the country. Approximately 13,000 practices (with 67,000 clinicians) are recognized by NCQA. More than 95 organizations support NCQA Recognition through providing financial incentives, transformation support, care management, learning collaboratives or MOC credit.

Best Overall Clinical Performance

The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) awarded La Clinica for achieving “Best Overall Clinical Performance” among all Health Centers, placing in the top 30% of rankings for “Clinical Quality Measures” for the fourth consecutive year. Also "Health Center Quality Leaders, Access Enhancers, Health Disparities Reducers, Advancing Health Information Technology for Quality and Patient Centered Medical Home Recognition". These awards from HRSA reflect our commitment to a patient-centered approach.


AHA and AMA Target BP Award

La Clinica was recognized by the American Heart Association and the American Medical Association for achieving blood pressure control rates at or above 70 percent within our adult patient population.

Advancing Minority Mental Health for 2019

La Clinica del Pueblo was awarded the American Psychiatric Association Foundation Award for Advancing Minority Mental Health for 2019. La Clinica is proud to receive this recognition for our tele-psychiatry and tele-mental health initiatives and our commitment to providing high quality mental health services to Latino immigrants who otherwise cannot access them.

100 most influential Latinos in Washington DC - Catalina Sol

La Clinica’s Executive Director, received El Tiempo Latino’s Powermeter 100 Award celebrating the 100 most influential Latinos in Washington DC.

100 Women Leaders - Dilcia Molina

La Clinica's Gender & Health Program Manager: received the award of the 100 Women Leaders of the metropolitan area from El Poder de Ser Mujer in the category Latina Leader of a non-profit organization.

Language Access Pioneer Award- D.C. Language Access Coalition

La Clínica is a member of D.C. Language Access Coalition that helped passed the DC Language Access Act of 2004. The Office of Human Rights gave an Advocate Achievement Award and Language Access Pioneer Award to the coalition in recognition for over 17 years of fighting for the rights of Limited English Proficient (LEP) members of our community.
